Terms of service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of coffeelava.net and coffeelava.shop (“the Sites”) and any purchases made through them. By accessing the Sites or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Sites.

The Parties

The Sites are operated by Coffee Lava, a business based in Los Angeles, California (“we,” “us,” or “Coffee Lava”). You are the customer (“you” or “User”).

Products & Descriptions

We make every effort to accurately describe our coffee — origin, varietal, roast level, tasting notes, and farming practices. All bags are 10 oz, whole bean, roasted at origin on the farm in Berlín, El Salvador. Product photography is representative. Natural variation in roast color and bean appearance is normal and does not indicate a defect.

We use organic farming practices and grow without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. Our products are not USDA-certified organic. Do not interpret any language on our Sites as a certified organic claim.

Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in US Dollars. We reserve the right to change prices at any time. The price at the time of your order is the price you pay. We accept standard credit and debit cards via Shopify Payments and Bitcoin via Lightning Network through Strike. Bitcoin payments are final and non-reversible once confirmed on the network.

Order Acceptance

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to product availability, pricing errors, or suspected fraud. If we cancel your order, you will receive a full refund.

Presale Terms

Presale orders are pre-purchases of coffee that has already been roasted at origin and will be shipped after the presale period closes. By placing a presale order you acknowledge: (1) your order will not ship immediately; (2) estimated ship dates are good-faith projections and may shift; (3) presale orders are final once placed unless cancelled before fulfillment begins as described in the Return & Refund Policy.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Sites — including the Coffee Lava name, logo, copy, photography, and brand assets — is the property of Coffee Lava. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any of it without our written permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Coffee Lava’s total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Sites or purchase of our products shall not exceed the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Sites and their content are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Sites will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Coffee is a food product — if you have allergies or dietary restrictions, review the product information carefully.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California, or through binding arbitration at Coffee Lava’s election.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The effective date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Sites after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
